The goal of Panhandle MAMas is to significantly reduce methamphetamine/drug use in the Texas Panhandle through community awareness, education, and action. MAMas is focused on drug use prevention.
Our Mission:
The mission of Panhandle MAMas is to glorify God by providing competent and compassionate drug education and rehabilitation resources that reflect the mercy of Jesus Christ for the addict, their family, and the community.
Our History:
Panhandle MAMAs is a chapter of Mothers Against Methamphetamine [MAMa], the national orginazation founded by Dr. M. Holley in 2002. Establishment of this chapter began in September of 2006. MAMas was incorporated as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation in January of 2007, with a formal chapter established in March of 2007. There a currently three chapters or branches of MAMa in the Texas Panhandle, with more currently being established in the upper 26 counties of the Texas of the Texas Panhandle.
